‘Fur’ Hat

Just in time for blizzard season!

Materials: I made this hat with one skein of Happy and one skein of Cascade 109 bulky. You can use 50g (90 yds) of any eyelash and 100g (109 yds) of any bulky you like.

You are going to be doubling the eyelash, so wind your eyelash into a center-pull ball so that you can use both ends.

Needles: #11 16” circular, set of 4 #11 double points

Gauge: 3 stitches per inch in doubled eyelash and bulky

Cast on 60 sts.on circular needles with doubled eyelash. Do not join yarns.

Knit back and forth (Garter St) for 5”.

Change to bulky yarn and knit 1 row.

Join, place a marker, and begin knitting in the round. When bulky section of hat measures 6”, begin decreasing as follows:

Row 1: K 4, K2 tog around.

Row 2: Knit.

Row 3: K 3, K2 tog around

Row 4: Knit

Row 5: K 1, K2 tog around.
