Fingerless GlovesNote that Women’s Medium/Men’s Small is one size, as is Women’s Large/Men’s Medium. Sizes: Women's Small (Women’s Medium/Men’s Small, Women’s Large/Mens’ Medium, Men’s Large) Yarn: Henry’s Attic Prime Alpaca Yarn or any other sport or fingering weight yarn, about 3oz. Needles and notions: US Size 1 double pointed needles, 1 small and 2 medium stitch holders, 1 safety pin, 2 stitch markers. Gauge: 8 sts/inch InstructionsCast on 50 (56, 60, 64) sts. Work in K2, P2 rib for 32 rounds (around 4") or desired length. Change to St st and increase 2 (4, 4, 4) sts evenly around in the next round. Knit 1 round. Repeat the last two rounds 0 (0, 1, 2) times more. Increase 2 sts evenly around. Knit 6 (5, 3, 1) rounds even. There should be 54 (62, 70, 78) sts total. THUMB GUSSET K1, place a marker, M1, K3, M1, place marker, finish the round. Knit 3 rounds. K1, slip marker, M1, knit to the next marker, M1, slip marker, finish round. Repeat the last 4 rounds until there are 11 (13, 15, 17) sts between the markers. Knit 3 (1, 1, 1) round or however many rounds it takes to get to the base of the thumb. On the next round, slip the first stitch onto the small stitch holder, remove the marker, slip the 11 (13, 15, 17) sts between the markers onto the holder, remove the second marker, slip 1 more st onto the holder. Now cast on 5 sts across the gap and complete the round. Work 11 more rounds. PINKIE FINGER K3, place a safety pin in the last stitch knitted. Knit 19 (22, 25, 28) sts more and place those stitches and the stitch with the safety pin in it on a holder. Knit 14 (16, 18, 20) sts and place all of the remaining 20 (23, 26, 29) stitches on another holder. Set up for the pinkie as follows:
Join in the round and knit 6 rounds in St st. Change to K1, P1 rib for 4 rounds. Bind off loosely in rib. Place your remaining 40 (46, 52, 58) sts back on the needles beginning your round with the stitch with the safety pin in it. When you get to the gap, pick up and knit 4 sts across the stitches you cast on for the pinkie. 44 (50, 56, 62) sts. Knit 2 more rounds. RING FINGER Knit 14 (16, 18, 20) sts and place these stitches on a holder. Knit 16 (18, 20, 22) sts and place the remaining 14 (16, 18, 20) stitches on the other holder. Set up the ring finger as follows:
Join in the round and knit 6 rounds in St st. Change to K1, P1 rib for 4 rounds. Bind off loosely in rib. MIDDLE FINGER Take 6 (7, 8, 9) sts off each of the holders and set up as follows:

Join in the round and knit 6 rounds in St st. Change to K1, P1 rib for 4 rounds. Bind off loosely in rib. THUMB Place the 13 (15, 17, 19) sts from the holder on two needles. With the third needle, pick up and knit 7sts across the gap. Join in the round and knit 6 rounds in St st. Change to K1, P1 rib for 4 rounds. Bind off loosely in rib. When sewing in your ends, you can use them to sew up any holes around the fingers.
